Well, we have a simple answer to this complex question here. We’ve interviewed many of our customers and it seems that most of them don’t care where their motorcycles are made or assembled, how they are made and by whom as long as they are well made and delivered. It also depends on how often our customers keep coming back for more, which is the ultimate measure of the quality we deliver to our customers. Our regular customers have bikes from the US, India, Japan, China, other countries in Southeast Asia and just about everywhere else, and what we’ve learned from all these years of experience is that there is no substitute for test riding, research and a lot of homework.

Many of our customers have serious discussions about what kind of perspective we also feel is important. It’s easy for us to approach these conversations with only our countries of origin in mind. What we call “made abroad” here is “made in our home country” elsewhere. For example, Indian bikers seem to be very proud of their Royal Enfields, which again reminds me of a few American bikers who are proud of their Harleys, Brits of their Triumphs, and so on.

Going back to our customer’s perspective, country of origin is not going to be a deciding factor in someone buying a motorcycle. Personally, country of origin is not the first thing I look for, nor the third, or maybe the last. For me, country of origin is just something I need to know about my motorcycle, like its VIN or what kind of oil it uses. All decisions were based on things that are more important to me. In India for example, the first question they have to ask is about your mileage, which of course may vary.
